A typical day would include the following activities:
1. Group welcome and meeting time- greeting, songs, stories, brainstorming and discussion about activities of the day.2. Free Play/Project Time- Free play at centres around the room (Art, Water, Sand, Manipulatives, Dramatic Play, Blocks, Gross Motor, Books, and Music), exploring, learning and creating based on interests of the children in the project area.

4. Snack- Snack is served around 10:30 am for the AM class; 2:30 pm for the PM class. Healthy snack is provided. We do not serve snacks containing nuts, due to allergies. Snack menu will be posted/ dated.
5. Clean Up - Children are encouraged to take responsibility for clean-up of all play areas.
6. Movement - indoor activities such as games, music, movement, manipulate equipment. On occasion, children may go outdoors on walks, and to nearby playground. Parents will be advised about these days.
7. Transitions- To ease the flow and help children understand one activity is ending and another is about to begin, teachers sing, play games, or do finger plays which are cues to facilitate transition.
8. Closing Meeting/Dismissal- Gather together to talk about what was learned and what kids want to continue the next meeting time. Participate in songs, stories and prepare for departure.
