Margaret is passionate about children. Her dedication to and love for families has been the cornerstone of her life. Margaret has worked in a variety of capacities over the years. She has been a front-line worker for childcare and out-of-school programs; an aide to children with disabilities; is a certified kindergarten teacher; and has an extensive background in administration and consultation. Margaret has provided advocacy for children through her involvement in a variety of organizations such as: the Child and Family Resource Association, the Early Childhood Professional Association of Alberta and the Alberta Child Care Association. Her project on models of accreditation and quality child care standards was published by the Muttart Foundation in 1999. Margaret has a Bachelor of Education degree, an Early Childhood Diploma and a Masters degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta.
