Note: Some taxpayers may have received a Notice of Assessment that indicates the due date for payment as April 30, 2020. Please be advised the due date has been extended to September 1, 2020. We apologize for the confusion.

Dear e4c MTTP Site Coordinators and Volunteers,

e4c is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines and restrictions released by Alberta Health Services, the Government of Alberta, and the Government of Canada. On March 13, we made the difficult decision to suspend all MTTP tax filing clinics. The guidelines released have indicated that further social distancing is required to address the pandemic spread, and thus, we have extended the MTTP tax clinic closure to May 1.

Closures extending past May 1 will be considered based on recommendations from the Chief Medical Officer.

The health and safety of the vulnerable community members that we serve, as well as those of our dedicated volunteers, continues to be the most important factor in this decision. We are working, alongside a national coalition, to determine the best way to support tax and benefit filing for the community members that rely on MTTP. As the CRA released new processes and information, we will adjust our programming.

You are welcome to check-back with Community Options after May 1st.
